Prakash Prasad Pokharel is a seasoned development professional with extensive experience in community empowerment, cooperative development, and social inclusion. Over the years, he has worked with prominent national and international organisations including READ Nepal and Mahila Jagaran Sangh (Lam), where he played key roles in promoting literacy, women’s empowerment, and grassroots development.
He has also served as a consultant for respected institutions such as the Nepal Red Cross Society, SNV Nepal, and WWF Nepal, contributing to programs in disaster response, sustainable development, and environmental conservation.
Currently, he holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Nepal Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperative Unions Ltd. (NEFSCUN), where he leads strategic initiatives to strengthen the cooperative movement across Nepal. Under his leadership, NEFSCUN continues to promote financial inclusion, cooperative governance, and capacity-building at the national level.
